Fight #19: 150LB. AMATEUR TITLE – Anthony Nache vs. Josha Burch
As usual, the crowd is always on their feet and chanting when Anthony Nache fights. Amazing energy flows throughout the room. The first round began with Nache throwing several kicks and spinning combos. Burch caught an accidental inner thigh kick to the groin, but recovered and continued the battle. When given the OK to resume fighting, Nache bolted forward with an excellent kick to Burch’s body, then, followed through with a cross to the face. Burch was thrown back by the combo, and Nache took full advantage and did a move similar to Anthony Pettis’ superkick; ran off the side of the cage, and attacked with several devastating blows. Within seconds, Burch was knocked out, and everyone had to have been thinking “HOLY-FUCKING-SHIT!” Nache won at 1:20.
Fight #20: 125LB. AMATEUR TITLE – Brent Lee vs. Jake Wingo
Lee and Wingo battled to see who would win the 125lb. title that was on the line. Round one began with Wingo attempting to throw leg kicks, but wasn’t able to connect. Lee was able to counter the attacks with hard knocks. Wingo would smile when he was struck in the face. Crazy. After cage clinching, Lee unloaded with strikes, sending Wingo down. After the horn, Wingo seemed gassed and looked as if he couldn’t recover, because he sat down against the cage. As the second round started, Lee kicked Wingo back, and threw some combos. Wingo started kicking again, but the fight went to the ground after Wingo was caught with a punch. Lee used his GNP to win via TKO at 1:11.
Co-Main Event: 155LB. AMATEUR TITLE – Mike Duckett vs. Trevor Arbogast
Starting the first round, Duckett wanted to throw kicks to Arbogast, but Arbogast dominated him with ease, taking the fight to the ground and using his GNP. He threw hammerfists to the face, ribs, and back for the majority of the round, but Duckett was able to survive. Round two began, and Arbogast came out of his corner attacking Duckett. Arbogast was able to execute a darse choke forcing Duckett to tap at 0:23 into the round.
Main Event: HWT AMATEUR TITLE – Ryan Gustavis (MFS) vs. Herculano Dacosta
This fight looked like it was going to be tough. You’ve got two 6 foot something heavyweight beasts going at it. Round one began, and Dacosta started his game plan with knees, but they weren’t able to do any damage. Gustavis fought back with solid hits. He showed great agility and kept his cool. Dacosta attempted clinches, but they didn’t last long. Both fighters exchanged kicks and combos until the end of the round, when Gustavis came out on top. The second round started, and right away it seemed odd that Dacosta was letting his mouthpiece hang out of his mouth numerous times. Gustavis did a head kick that supposedly grazed Dacosta’s eye. Dacosta complained about it a few times after it happened. Gustavis fought even more aggressive and began connecting his kicks. Eventually, he tackled Dacosta to the ground and punched his guts out with GNP. Dacosta just stayed down, and the fight was stopped at 2:11 declaring Gustavis the winner via TKO.
